I really enjoy reading non-fiction and even some historical fiction about 19th century US western expansion. Starting as early as Daniel Boones days and into the 1900s.
I’ve read individual stores about Jesse James, the Pony express, Billy the Kid, etc. but I’m curious if there is an all encompassing book that covers all of the key events and characters in this century? It would be great to have a better understanding of when certain events were happening, who was crossing paths, what events triggered others.
Any recommendations in that area would be much appreciated!
