Other than the obvious ones by George R.R. Martin, can you recommend any books about fantasy or sci-fi settings (or other fictional worlds that are not Earth) that are written as history books instead of novels?
Most of what I’ve been able to find is alternate history of Earth, but is there anything set in other worlds? Or with fictional cultures on Earth that are very different from real history like Lands of Red and Gold or Green Antarctica?
Future histories are also interesting to me
