Anticipating some eye rolling since I'm sentencing the rare "woman content on her own & not looking for love" protagonist to the same guillotine of coupling as every other character, but here we are.

I've always been hyper independent and disinterested in marriage but found my person in recent years and it has significantly changed the path I expected to be on. While I couldn't be happier, it can feel like a small betrayal of the young self that took such pride in these perceived differences.

I'd love to read something where characters I can respect and admire ultimately end up with the right person. The love story needn't be at the center, and I don't care if they struggle with this change in their own lives.

Obviously the best examples of this include the greatest characters of all time, Jo March and Elizabeth Bennet, but I'm being greedy and would love any other suggestions.

    Thank you!
