My boyfriend and I are headed out of town for his cousin's wedding. We'll be driving about 9 hours round trip. We usually listen to podcasts on long car rides such as Criminal or Serial. This trip we are considering listening to an audio book but we can't quite agree on a title.

I preffer fiction, really anything, suspense, mystery, horror, romance, fantasy. Occasionally I'll read non fiction but it's not my favorite. My boyfriend of course is really only interested in non fiction. He's really interested in espionage, true crime, and the KGB. He likes an unsolved mystery or a ending that leaves the reader unsure of the outcome. (Kind of like "None of This is True")

Non fiction books that I've recently read are, "Say Nothing", "I'll be gone in the Dark",
"Cultish," and " Under the Banner of Heaven". I'm currently reading "God of the Woods" and love it.

He said he could be interested in listening to fiction if it's the right fit. I'd prefer to listen to fiction but am open to nonfiction as well. Is there an audio book you that might fit both of our interests? TIA!

    1. The Devil In The White City . Almost every one likes it. the descriptions of the city and the worlds fair are detailed and of course it’s a true crime serial killer.

    2. I suggest humor as a compromise.

**What If?: Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions** by Randall Munroe.

It consists of a series of questions on pop-sci and pop-culture, each answered in one or two paragraphs. The answers are hilarious in a dry-humored way.

An example question is: What would happen if you hit a baseball pitched at 90% of the speed of light?

The girl who saved the king of Sweden by Jonas Jonasson

It’s fiction, but it weaves a lot of history into it. Funny, compelling, engaging.
