I’ve just read “The Mists of Avalon” of Marion Zimmer Bradley. At first, I can’t get thought of this 1200 pager. But the way she let their people act looks at least sarcastic to me. She let them speak tons of harmless sentences on the surface, but they are devastating for others in the deep. Some are intent, some are spoken because of stupidity or chance. At the same she never quit feeling empathetic with her caracters. That was fun.
