Man! at 98 what is there left to read? Lol For family stories I just recommended a few seconds ago “Anne of Green Gables” so that’s on my mind which is charming and lovely and from a time period that would have been during her childhood and may feel nostalgic.
I haven’t read a lot of James Patterson, but I think of them as fast pace, thriller type books so maybe these authors might be possibilities?
Harlan Coben: suspense/ thrillers with intricate plots (sometimes a bit convoluted for me ) and twists.
Lisa Gardner: crime and psychological thrillers
Michael Connelly: legal and police procedural series.
David Baldacci: fast-paced /thrillers lots of espionage and political themes
