I'd love to read something that has this very close feminine perspective but with much more of an edge than Bridget. Darker themes, more flawed / troubled protagonist. The darker and grittier the better really.
Only using it as a simple example for the close-up, internal narration style.
I've read "My Year Of Rest and Relaxation" and enjoyed it but did not love it. I think I did not find the protagonist relatable enough (would have actually preferred the perspective of her chaotic, bulimic friend).
Please shoot me everything that comes to mind.
