I am deeply interested in a lot of trends that happened in Post-War America, such as how the 1950-60s were the Golden Age, how the Vietnam War took a toll on the country's finances, how Nixon exploited the 'silent majority' anger, how Reagan came to create a new form of unbridled capitalism, how Wall Street evolved through all of this (dot-com bubble, financialization of the economy), how corporations evolved (moved globally, rendered a lot of blue-collar Americans jobless), etc., ending with 9/11. As you can see, I have a fairly biased view of all the proceedings but would really like to read an all-encompassing account broadly covering these trends. Basically a definitive book on post-War American business, politics, and sociology.
