Ok, ok! Just now finished up the most famous book in the Hannibal series for tonight! "The Silence of the Lambs"!
Clarice Starling, a young FBI trainee, is sent to see the psycopathic Dr. Hannibal Lecter to get his help on case of a serial killer on the loose known as Buffalo Bill. A highly mesmerizing conflict ensues between good and evil that is designed to stop Buffalo Bill.
In "The Silence of the Lambs", which takes place years after the events of "Red Dragon", I'm introduced with new characters, plus some old faces as well. And it is, as anyone who read the series would readily agree, is the best book of the whole series!
"Red Dragon" is great, but "Silence of the Lambs" is the bomb! Mention the name Hannibal Lecter and the film adaptation will immediately come to mind. Lecter is really such a great villain in suspense and horror. He may be a gentlemen but he is absolutely insane underneath it all and here in the second book he takes center stage. And there is the new character, Clarice Starling, who is also central to the story here too. For the most part she's pretty likable.
I haven't seen the film, but after reading the book I'm starting to get a little interest in watching it. There might be some differences, but I still might actually like it! But right now it's on to the third book! Might be good, or it might not be but soon I will make mind up on it once I start reading it! And I do believe that he has written other books, might want to get some of those sometime after finishing the series.
