I mostly enjoy philosophical, smart, sciency, maybe sad, violent, Lovecraftian and hard science fiction novels with pretty unique plots that make you think.
My favourite are:
1. Solaris, The Invicible – Stanislaw Lem (really like discussions about consciousness)
2. Diaspora, Axiomatic, Permutation City – Greg Egan (enjoy the science and topics about humans trying to live in a new technological age)
3. Some stories by Ted Chiang (really unique plots and interesting ideas)
4. Blood Music – Greg Bear (like the horror aspects and the Lovecraftian vibes)
5. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? – Philip Dick (really smart and made me think)
Some of the novels I wasn’t a big fan of are:
1. Dune – Frank Herbert (don’t enjoy space operas too much)
2. The Left Hand of Darkness – Ursula Le Guin (did not really click with me, I don’t know why)
Please give me your recommendations!!!
