Basically anything that is big/important enough to be relevant to multiple countries or the world. For instance, artificial intelligence. It could be a nonfiction on the history and science of AI, with some speculation of what that means for the future. Or it could be a fiction about the Great Human-AI War of 2137.
But it doesn’t have to be technology – could be religion, politics, music, warfare, pharmaceuticals, climate change, quantum physics, whatever … it doesn’t have to have an opinion on what the author thinks is right/wrong, but that’s fine if it does. Looking for all types from any point of view!
