I'm looking for a romance book with depth, I don't really know how to explain it in a short way so I'll just say all that I want and dont – fxm and a modern book, from this century, and this decade would be even more perfect. Wheter standalone or series, I don't care, although series means longer slowburn and that's good.
First of all, I want the characters to actually get to know each other, I want to witness them falling in love. I don't want them to think how sexy the other person is on the second page and flying solo in the second chapter with the image of the other in their mind. Instead give me her noticing how pretty his eyes are and how nice her smile or laugh is. I don't mind a good erotic scene, love me some sexual tension but I want that later on. I want slow burn, give me the pride and prejudice type of tension first, stolen glances and brief touches. I'm tired of books focused solely on sex, I want the other kind of intimacy, I want every stage of the relationship.
