Hi all. I'm taking a much-needed career break after having reached peak burnout at work. I struggle with stress management, often taking out my frustrations on people around me which impacts my relationships. I desperately need some time out to re-evaluate my career choice and where to go to next.
I've been looking for books on burnout and help for feeling a bit lost/overwhelmed with what to do with my life. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I had a similar issue recently and the book helped me get through my relationship with both my work and people around me.
*Slow* by Brooke McAlary. This book is about identifying and reorganising priorities in life.
*When The Body Says No* by Gabor Maté is a great guide to understanding the effects stress has on the body.
{{The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck}} — I read it twice. Lightweight but also wise advice… The audio book version is great, too!
I know I’m supposed to suggest a book but I think just giving your brain time to breathe and let thoughts organically come up helps so much. I was in a similar situation with major burnout before and long walks in nature helped me so much and just disconnecting from everything.
I guess I should suggest a book anyways after my rant. Radical acceptance is a pretty good book about discovering yourself.
Wish you the best regardless!
