I could quote pretty much any page but what got me thinking again, especially with all the madness that going on in politics right now, was this part:
"It was miraculous. It was almost no trick at all, he saw, to turn vice into virtue and slander into truth, impotence into abstinence, arrogance into humility, plunder into philanthropy, thievery into honor, blasphemy into wisdom, brutality into patriotism, and sadism into justice. Anybody could do it; it required no brains at all. It merely required no character."

good books do be like that. I’m always surprised to rediscover that Shakespeare knew us so well from way back in the 1600’s.
Catch 22 really is one of those books that stays relevant no matter what’s going on in the world. That quote hits hard especially with everything happening today. It’s amazing how timeless the themes in this book are
