The Housemaid by Freida McFadden
Plot: 4/5
Writing: 3/5
Creativity: 2/5
Addictive: Yes
Did the jaw drop?: Ehh! There’s good amount of twists and turns. Some predictable, some not (the major plot twist was predictable to me, that’s why low on creativity). There’s at least one moment where my mouth gaped slightly! The ending is fairly rewarding.
The writer makes it clear that she has no business to beat to around the bush. It’s 100% plot driven. It reads fast. There are no striking sentences or thought provoking moments in this. It’s a pure mystery thriller. Seemed like beginner friendly to me.
I used to read but I’m been laying off of reading for few years. I’m back into the mood again. I’m used to watching complex movies. I have an appetite for intellectual and creative stuff. So, based on this will you recommend be a good book in the same sorta genre?
