Where the Wild Things Are.
It’s a must have for a 2-yo’s collection.

*Where’s Wallace?* by Hillary Knight!!!
Wallace is an orangutan who keeps running away from the zoo. Each time he disappears, there’s a wild and wonderfully chaotic two-page panorama of where he ran away to and you have to find him, and all the other characters that appear in every drawing. Tons of fun for years.

Bunnicula, for when she’s older and can reach some easy chapter books. I loved those.

Any book with illustrator David Catrow (he’s amazing!)
Where the Red Fern Grows – by Wilson Rawls (for 8 and older. I’d read it as an adult because it’s that good)

I am a Bunny by Ole Risom. Richard Scarry does the illustrations and they are gorgeous and colorful. It’s the first book I learned to read and it’s still among my favorites.

The piggy and elephant books are super cute. My son got 2 of them with the plushies and 2 of the pigeon books with the plushie at khols.

Don’t Push the Button is a great silly one. The Scaredy Squirrel series is fun too. The Day You Begin by Jacqueline Woodson is a beautiful picture book. Everything Mo Willems. Narwhal and Jelly, of course.
Jason Reynolds apparently published a picture book this year. I’m getting it for my kids this Christmas. I don’t even remember the title, but I can’t imagine him writing a book that isn’t an absolute must read for kids.

When ours was she would’ve said [where is baby’s bellybutton](https://www.target.com/p/where-is-baby-s-belly-button-lift-the-flap-books-hardcover-by-karen-katz/-/A-11818734?ref=tgt_adv_xsp&AFID=google&fndsrc=tgtao&DFA=71700000012510700&CPNG=PLA_Entertainment%2BShopping%7CEntertainment_Ecomm_Hardlines&adgroup=SC_Entertainment&LID=700000001170770pgs&LNM=PRODUCT_GROUP&network=g&device=m&location=9032827&targetid=pla-837330269707&ds_rl=1246978&ds_rl=1248099&gbraid=0AAAAAD-5dfa6vYBhVZP5GCHskrJRTN7_O&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIx9Ds0vWrggMVtA2tBh3xCwQqEAQYAiABEgJ-LPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) and all the other Lift The Flap books by Karen Katz were her favorites
She also liked the [Never Touch](https://www.target.com/p/never-touch-a-dinosaur-by-stuart-lynch-board-book/-/A-79856041?ref=tgt_adv_xsp&AFID=google&fndsrc=tgtao&DFA=71700000012764139&CPNG=PLA_Entertainment%2BShopping_Local%7CEntertainment_Ecomm_Hardlines&adgroup=SC_Entertainment&LID=700000001170770pgs&LNM=PRODUCT_GROUP&network=g&device=m&location=9032827&targetid=pla-322971479243&ds_rl=1246978&ds_rl=1248099&gbraid=0AAAAAD-5dfaA_-Hm4RGX2U_6U0KQsNDEE&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsYrViParggMVJQB9Ch36ZgT3EAQYASABEgLxQ_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) book series. Basically any interactive books made her happy.
And my favorite is Stellaluna
