I recently finished Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer & there is a chapter where she describes the house she purchased after her divorce (if I’m remembering correctly) in upstate New York. It was an old farmhouse with a lake/pond, maple trees, kinda secluded. She wrote that her daughter requested a purple room and the essays go on to describe her time spent cleaning the pond and foraging the forest. I could live in those chapters and would like something to read that’s similar. Something that includes family, resourcefulness, nature, and set in a rural area. Not looking for witchy/magical themes.
