I have some extra time and started a massive trilogy of approximately 3000 pages. It’s on a (nonfiction) topic I love, and love to talk about. I find myself highlighting and notating too much. (Plus it’s on an ereader.) By page 200, I’ve forgotten many/most of the notes. To those who highlight, is there a point to these when reading epic tomes?
