I’m trying to find my love for fantasy books again, but every time I pick up a book, it’s like the plot twists are so predictable, or it’s a copy of another book I’ve read with different names and places. OR the protagonist is a 15 year old “I’m not like the other girls” sort of character. I’m looking for something that keeps your attention. I’ve previously read percy jackson, hunger games, the mortal instruments, Harry Potter, etc as a teenager and have really enjoyed them but when I try to reread them for nostalgia I just don’t find the characters relatable anymore.
