Suggest me a book from a new genre please

Been reading a lot of horror and Sci-Fi books. I'm looking to expand into a new genre. Lately I've been reading a lot of PKD and Harlan Ellison. Lots of crazy things going on there. I also read a book called Tender Is The Flesh which was pretty dark/brutal.
Im looking for something new that's at least has a bit more of a happier ending. I'm okay with dark still, I'm okay with Scifi or fantasy, whatever it may be. Just looking for something with a bit more silliness to it and a good ending for once. Thank you!
