Mine would probably be chapter 19 of The Grapes of Wrath, it’s a fascinating study of the nature of capitalism on its benefactors and its victims. I’d really like to know what you’d consider to be your favorite, I only ask that you try not to spoil it in your answer, as I’m sure there are some books that will be listed that others are planning to read. I know for one I’d like to read The Brothers Karamazov, a book I’m sure will pop down below.

The Chapter in Children of Dune when Leto II finally meets The Prophet.
the Grand inquisitor in the Brothers Karamazov is just splendid.
Chapter 12 of Shirley Jackson’s The Sundial
The Sundial is a book that uses a lot of humor throughout, but chapter 12 has one of the most claustrophobic filled scene I’ve ever read. It’s a masterclass in how to build tension and fear.
