I’ve always been suicidal my whole life and these dark thoughts just don’t go but then I think about scenarios like this where someone just keeps interrupting me accidentally when I’m about to off myself in the most humorous ways possible. they’re completely clueless too and then I forget about offing myself 😂I was thinking if there might be a book similar to this, can be romance but I’d prefer if it wasn’t as I really crave platonic love.

Sylvia Plath – the bell jar. But honestly op, as someone who recently lost a loved on to suicide – are you getting the help that you need?

A Man Called Ove by Freidrick Backman. Absolutely lovely book, somehow heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.

I’m glad you have found a way to keep yourself alive. If you haven’t already, please consider seeking mental health help. I also had depression for many years, and can now confidently say that I beat it. But, not until I got help. Don’t battle this awful illness alone. And keep up the humour ❤

I Still Dream of You by Fannie Flagg is perfect. The main character tries SO hard and has such an elaborate plan and keeps getting foiled by the dumbest things (like a goat).

Okay this isn’t a book and I know that’s not what this sub is for. But have you seen Bungo Stray Dogs? It has a running gag just like this. I can’t think of any books though 😭
