40 year old male here. I'm having trouble finding good books to reads. I tend to get bored easily if the story just doesn't hook me immediately.
Some of the books I've read that actually held my attention:
All Time Favorite Books:
Clockwork Orange
Animal Farm
451 Farenheit
1984
The Starts, My Brother's
City at Worlds End
**Currently reading: Nuclear War by Annie Jacobsen.
Books I've started and dropped:
On A Pale horse
The End of Eternity
Rogue Protocol: Murdeebot Diaries
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
Penguin Island
Harry Potter (the first book)
**These books seemed to have great concepts, specially On A Pale Horse but the story just seemed to linger far too long describing dumb things, people and places. The way the characters interacted with each other just didn't seem "realistic" at times.
I really enjoy reading manga and comic books, but I'd really like something without pictures that I can read in public.
Comics and Manga I like
All Time Favorite Comics:
Planet Hulk
Batman: The Killing Joke
The Batman Who Laughs
All time Favorite Manga
Grenadier
Sunken Rock
Fire Punch
