My nearly 4yo loves the above mentioned book by Oliver Jeffers. For months, every read comes with multiple questions about different aspects of living on earth. What we love about it is that there's sort of a plot, but also it gives an overview on a topic—it's mostly just called "earth book" in our house.
I'd love to find something similar on other subjects. Current other interests include: weather, space and the human body, but would be open to other topics. I also do appreciate the funny asides for adults, but they're not required.
