I’m about 1/3 of the way in, it’s…fine. meh even. The characters aren’t intriguing, and (this my fault) I was under the assumption the book went back and forth between present time and 1800s in London/Paris)
It’s just not grabbing me like I would have hoped.
I’m gonna skim through it as there’s some mysteries that have yet to be solved (and I’m anxious to start on my next to read Donna Tartts The Secret History).
Anyone else struggle with this and what do you end up doing when do you give up and stop reading a book?

Life is too short to read books you don’t really like. Set it down and move on 🙂
