I read a lot of fantasy, and I’ve been feeling like I am in a slump. I do love scifi especially after reading The Three Body Problem series, so looking for more sci fi books!
Red Rising, it’s very space war themed but the plot goes so deep and there’s 6 books.

The Jacques McKeown series by Yahtzee Croshaw – An unemployed star pilot tries to get by in a universe where transporters are a thing. The first book in the series is Will save the galaxy for food.
Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card. Child soldiers are recruited and trained to fight alien invaders. More interesting than the genetic part of the plot sounds. The story focuses more on the thoughts, feelings, and stress of the title character.
The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet and A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers. Character focused stories about a woman escaping family stress (trying not to spoil) and an AI learning to interact with people.
