Context: I’m a gen X female with no children. Most of my friends are same – though I interact, work with and coach those from the generations after mine. I’ve recently noticed situations where I am out of touch with how younger people interpret/experience the world, because my personal experience of teenage priorities or values are from growing up in the 80’s and 90’s – pre movements like ‘me-too’, Black Lives Matter, any kind of body image acceptance – all which has had / is having a massive impact on how people view themselves or the world around them.
Looking for suggestions of books – could be bios or fiction, don’t mind – to help me keep up with the times. A bit of comedy or lightheartedness is a bonus.
I’ve started listening to the audiobook “All I ever wanted was to be hot” by Lucinda ‘Froomes’ Price and this has helped a lot – hoping there might be some other helpful treasures out there.
I’m Australian btw – but suggestions from around the globe could be helpful too!

Maybe some Dolly Alderton – Everything I Know About Love or Dear Dolly. I really enjoy her point of view on “issues” definitely hits on a Millennial perspective. I’m a Kiwi Millennial gal.
