I just found out my aunt is on the hospital and I want to get her book that is easy to pick up and put down as she’s feeling able.

Something light hearted that isn’t related to anything to heavy especially related to medical, sickness or death. She’s also not allowed to eat, so something that isn’t focused on food would be preferred.

    Thank you!

I don’t know how old your aunt is, but Georgette Heyer’s books are a comfort read for my aunt (in her 60s).

My mum (late 50’s) might go for Outlander or A Vision of Light.

I (just turned 40) would probably read Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones or Shades of Milk and Honey by Mary Robinette Kowal (The Spare Man by the same author and really enjoying it, but does have a cocktail theme for the chapters which might be too food-y).
