    Hello book lovers,

I’m looking for books that teach me history(or something else) in an engaging way, something with a mix of action and passion but also informative, whether it’s about history, plants, or animals. I enjoy novels that weave learning into an entertaining story. For example, I’ve read The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón, which immerses you in post-civil war Spain while delivering a gripping mystery. I loved how it combined history with an intriguing plot. Any recommendations for similar books that strike this balance?

    Thank you.

    1. Eager: The Surprising, Secret Life of Beavers and Why They Matter by Ben Goldfarb doesn’t necessarily have a strong narrative through line but it has the hands down best set of characters I’ve ever come across in a science book, the people who get really excited about beavers are delightful. Chapter by chapter there’s a good theme/ narrative and overall it’s put together very well.
