Basically the subject line. Not your religious book of choice, not a book containing a collection of stories, not an entire series (can be part of one, though), not a “how to get off a deserted island” instruction manual. What’s the one single book that immediately pops into your head while reading this prompt, the one in your gut you know you’d take if you lived alone on a deserted island?
(My food would be avocados. My song would be Sailing by Christopher Cross. I’m still not entirely sure on my book, though. Send help!)

You mean the one I’d list as the answer to a security question if I forgot my password?
Bridge of Spies by Giles Whittell.
*The Count of Monte Cristo* by Alexandre Dumas. Not my favorite book of all time but the first one that popped into my head and a recent one I’ve enjoyed. It’s a thick book so I certainly wouldn’t get bored, and a good chunk of it is very much about getting off an island haha.
Midnight Sun. S Meyer. It’s like a warm hug to me.
100 Years of Solitude…
Or perhaps the more useful and equally engaging Robinson Crusoe.
Lord of the Flies
Mysterious island by Jules Verne
Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson
