Looking for books written by female authors that center female characters

Typically books of this sort focus on overcoming patriarchy, or female empowerment, or reproductive horror, or mental illness, or some guy, or misogyny, or marriage, or romance with men, or ultimately men even if the main characters are women.

Of course, none of this interests me personally.

I would like a book with an interesting plot and complex, realistic characters that aren’t written as if the writer is trying to prove something.
