Suggest me a horror or thriller book that got completely under your skin?
I am in desperate need of a book that will hook it's claws in me and not let go. My tolerance for gore or other uncomfortable things is pretty high, so stuff like that wouldn't be an issue for me. So give me your best shot 🙂
I read *We Need to Talk About Kevin* by Lionel Shriver like 12 years ago, but it still gives me the shivers if I think about it for too long. It centers on the perspective of the mother of a school shooter, knowing that something is wrong with her son as he grows up, and the aftermath. It’s horrifying and incredibly engrossing. I read the last 60 pages or so hunched over in the passenger seat of my car because I didn’t want to stop reading for the 3 minutes it would take me to go inside my house.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid is one that I can only describe as unsettling, uncomfortable, and disturbing. I told my husband when I finished that I wasn’t sure if I never wanted to read it again, or if I wanted to immediately re-read it.
