I have been working for an Indigenous government on the Northwest Coast of North America and am realizing that a lot of the books I have read on Philosophy have been rooted in Western traditions.
I liked Plato’s “Republic” and see the value in some of the classics, but I am super keen to expand my horizons.
I liked “Brading Sweetgrass”, and “Kukum” but am not limited to just North American Indigenous works. Works on colonization would also be appreciated and of interest.
I know that many Indigenous cultures are orally passed on but unfortunately I’m limited with who I can talk to!
Thanks for any suggestions!
