Doesn’t have to be published this year.

I’m pregnant and nearing the final stretch. What are some books that will rope me in and not let go? Multiple nightly pee breaks are murder on my sleep and audiobooks help me fall back into dreamland.

    Some of my favorite authors:
    – Freida McFadden
    – John Mars
    – Lucy Foley
    – Blake Crouch
    – Ruth Ware
    – Andy Weir
    – Liane Moriarty

The fastest read this year for me was Wetlands by Charlotte Roche. Might be well suited to reading on pee breaks given its subject matter (a girl in the hospital with anal issues).

American Dirt is a story of immigration and what a mother will do for her child. I was engrossed, and saddened. While it is fiction I couldn’t help but think about how much of it was based on truth.

    3. Zodiac Academy by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti.

I started the first one for some fast paced fantasy vibes and didn’t expect to love it but I needed to scratch that itch. That was on 8/16. Now it’s 9/4 and I’m halfway through the seventh book and these are thick books, this one is over 700 pages. I got completely sucked into this universe and even though it’s heartbreaking at times and the writing isn’t great, I still love it, I’m still obsessed

    4. Was Andy Weir because you read Project Hail Mary?!

I just read I Eat Mushrooms For Breakfast, and I really enjoyed that. A fun space-pirate adventure.

      Also, try Saturn Run.

Try Remnant Population by Elizabeth Moon,

I also recommend the book Theif and erotic Stories for Punjabi widows

    6. I watched Shogun this year and loved it. So I read the book and loved it even more. I also loved James by Percival Everett. This is a re-relling of Huck Finn story from the point of view of the _______Jim.

Ink Blood Sister Scribe by Emma Torzs – it’s a debut novel, written last year, has dark magic, family drama, mystery, a little bit romance. I found it to be really enjoyable and did a good job of drawing me in – over 400 pages and she went down fast! Congrats on the babe!
