I'm looking to learn any new subject that isn't about language learning, psychopathology, social psychology, computer science, human-computer interaction, fashion, statistics, etc.
I specifically would like to learn more about ornithology, linguistics, philosophy, mathematics, etc.

On philosophy I recommend “Would you kill the fat man” by David Edmonds, it examines moral dilemmas like the trolley problem
Ornithology – What the Robin Knows by Jon Young
Nature Obscura by Kelly Brenner talks about animal life in the city with some sections focusing on birds but others talking about bugs, fish, and plants. I learned a ton, and it’s a relatively quick read.
Botany (specifically orchids and mosses) – {{The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert}}
How to Change Your Mind by Michael Pollan. It’s about the history as well as current use of psychedelic drugs. So not a topic you mentioned but I’ve recommended it to tons of my friends. Absolutely fascinating.
A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking explains quantum mechanics in a clear, simple way.
*The End of Everything (Astrophysically Speaking)*, by Dr. Katie Mack. Very approachable and readable, even for someone with zero education in physics (like me). 🙂
**Fire Season: Field Notes from a Wilderness Lookout** by Philip Connors was a fascinating book about wildfires, the Gila National Forest, and fire lookout towers.
