I’ve recently gotten very into feminist literature, and I have a list of books I’ve read and a list of books I’ve ordered and are ‘soon to be read’. I’m going through them quickly, and I’d love some suggestions for more!

    What I’ve read:

    Intercourse by Andrea Dworkin

    Woman Hating by Andrea Dworkin

    Sister Outsider by Audre Lorde

    Ain’t I a Woman? by bell hooks

The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir

As if Women Matter (essays) by Gloria Steinem

    Kim Jo-Young, Born 1982 by Cho Nam-ju

    What’s on my shelf:

Gender Trouble: Feminism and the Subversion of Identity by Judith Butler

The Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan

Edited to add a book I forgot:)

Kim Ji-young Born 1982, by Cho Nam-joo – this is a Korean novel about Korea but the issues it flags are pretty universal. It might send you down some pretty eye-opening rabbit holes.

Also The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood. Absolute classic.
