I already read "1984" by Orwell and "I have no mouth and I must scream" by Harlan Ellison and now I'm looking for another dystopian book with the same vibes. Something like dystopian-horror if that makes sense, not something like "the world ended and we formed a new society".
Thank you so much!

Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World
I really liked This Perfect Day by Ira Levin
*1984* was a clear influence on *The Handmaid’s Tale* by Margaret Atwood. Excellent novel. I’d usually say the sequel, *The Testaments*, is worth a look too, but it’s very much in the vein of forming a new society, so perhaps not for you.
