Really looking for novels that focus on living daily life in spaceships, colony carriers, or on alien planets. Not wanting hard science but more of the differences, challenges, and sociological changes vs our standard Earth existence. Hoping for modern authors/written within the past 3 decades.

*Look to Windward* is about life on a far future semi utopian human ringworld, mostly from the pov of the aliens. It’s mostly slice of life though it does have a “serious” plot moving beneath.
