Started reading The Night Circus because i always see it recommended and it was available from the library while everything else i wanted i am on a wait list for. Based on the synopsis i thought itd be a YA love story about kids with magical powers and had no interest in it. Turns out its not at all and im 52% though it with the supposed lovers having spoken only a few sentences.
The writing is whimsical and its descriptive without being boring. I recently read Imaginary Friend and while i enjoyed it i appreciate that this book doesnt make me wanna skim through something dragged out for the sake of lengthening the book. Ive really enjoyed both the vibes and the story line so far.
While its possible things will take a turn in the second half, i have loved what ive read so far and was hoping for some recommendations that i will enjoy as much or more. Doesnt need to be the same genre or themes im open to whatever. I just want something with the same pace, vibes, writing style, ability to hold interest, etc
Thanks in advance!
