ive had this one for close to 15 years now and although 90% of the theories and stuff discussed in the book have either been debunked or exposed as BS, i still enjoy rereading it and researching stuff prompted by the contents. its written in a very nice, very readable objective way, a kind of a 'outsider looking in' point of view. i also like the extensive bibliography listed and the extensive index, i feel like this is a very old-school way to write and present a book about science and history. just a heads up – im not at all interested in theories about ancient aliens, conspiracies involving atlantis and its whereabouts, the sphinx, etc. id much rather read something objective and well based in actual science, with a narrative vibe similar to this book.
