I’ve just read ‘Pride and Prejudice_ Jane Austen’. I was recommended by many of my acquaintances for they deemed it fabulous. Since I’m done with reading it I’ve got my personal view on it and I’d like to hear yours (for those who have read) to see whether they resonate with mine or I’m just ‘lost’.

It’s on my tbr I’ve heard mixed opinions about this book from people some love it some just say it’s not really great as people claim it to be
I love it, but I’ll admit that when I first read it I thought it was just okay. It wasn’t until I reflected on it more and listened to passionate fans analyze it that it began to click for me. Now it’s one of my favorite books.
P&P is a favorite of mine. I think it’s very funny while also being very insightful.
Austen did a great job of setting up two giant misunderstandings for the protagonist that resolved so sweetly.
If you haven’t seen any of the tv/film adaptations, the BBC miniseries and the 2005 film are excellent. I think the visual adaptations help clarify some of the archaic social aspects.
There’s some charm about it, that I can’t fully explain. I didn’t really enjoy reading the book, but I wanted more of it. It’s a good book, but I have no idea why
