I don’t really read, i’ve only ever read a handful of books in my life but i’m wanting to get back into trying to read. I watch a lot of tv and movies so I was hoping I could get some suggestions based on those. I appreciate all the help!
Tv shows & movies I like:
The Society – follows the story of a group of teenagers who must learn to run their own community after the rest of the population of their town (West Ham, Connecticut) disappears
Class Of 07’ – An apocalyptic tidal wave hits during the 10-year reunion of an all-girls high school. The group has to find a way to survive on the island peak of their old high school campus, while dealing with old high school drama.
School Spirits – Set in the fictional town of Split River, Wisconsin, the show follows Maddie, a teen girl stuck in the afterlife investigating her own mysterious disappearance;
Stranger Things – the series centers around the residents of the fictional small town of Hawkins, Indiana, as they are plagued by a hostile alternate dimension.
Wednesday – The show follows Wednesday as she navigates her new school, makes friends and enemies, and tries to solve a murder mystery while also developing her psychic abilities
The Fosters – about a lesbian couple, Stef Foster and Lena Adams, who raise a multi-ethnic family of adopted, biological, and foster children in San Diego, California. The show explores themes of adoption, foster care, blended families, and teenage drama
Switched At Birth – The show follows two teenage girls, Bay Kennish and Daphne Vasquez, who discover they were accidentally switched at birth and grew up in very different environments
Looking For Alaska (i’ve read the book) – a thought-provoking novel that explores themes of uncertainty, loss, friendship, and the search for meaning. The story follows Miles "Pudge" Halter and his friends as they navigate adolescence and grapple with the complexities of life.
Every Day (i’ve read the book) – A shy teenager falls for a spirit who wakes up in the body of a different person every morning. "A" is a traveling spirit who wakes up in the body of a different male or female teenager, every day.
Missing – When her mother disappears while on vacation in Colombia with her new boyfriend, June's search for answers is hindered by international red tape.
