World is going mad today. But looking back into the history, where has been always at mad place. There is always have been war. Backstabbing.
To give you a context, I am from Bangladesh. A very small and potentially an unknown country I think. But this little place was one of the most crucial entry point of all the European who came into subcontinent. Especially Vasco da Gama, and also a very crucial place including Calcutta which is a Bengali speaking state of India, or responsible for the English colony after 200 years or more. But then in 1947 there was an independence of India Pakistan. And that was controlled or let's say led by the English monarchy at the time and with the guidance of Winston Churchill. I think the subcontinent is the biggest example of how the quote divide and conquer quote happens. If you don't understand me, look up Kashmir and the tiny little border between China and India close to West Bengal where even today the world is active.
And then 1971, when India asked for America's help to stop Pakistan from murdering millions of women and men and to help them liberate Bangladesh, what USA did,? They turn their back on India in order to sign one of the biggest contract with Mao's China at the time with the help of Pakistan.
So India I didn't have any choice and ask for the help of the USSR at the time. So to be clear, India one of the biggest democratic country in the world today, ask for the protector of democracy which is USA, to provide a democracy to another small country, and what they did instead? Allied on Pakistan, to sign a contract with one of the biggest communist country that literally dominate the world today which is China.
That is geopolitics for me in a nutshell. Now really there are books available on this part of the geopolitics where you will know that people is more complex than we think. And I think Chomsky, wrote few great books on the global context of geopolitics and linguism. So I want your help, to have some great book on geopolitics to understand the world and whatever going on today. Because to give a better example South Korea North korea, Palestine and israel, Russia you can situation which is currently going on, and Cashmere in India situations on those regions goes back hundreds of years if not even thousands if I'm not even joking. Which book kind of simplify the whole situation to understand what is going on today in order to look through the biases of media?
