Suggest me a book where the mc wakes up and learns that the past x years of their reality never happened.

Almost like the episode in a lot of sci-fi/fantasy shows where they’re in the insane asylum and the rest of the show never happened. But not necessary with the insane asylum part. Plot is about them trying to get back to their reality.
