I was enticed because it was one of the books recommended by Reese Witherspoon’s book club recommendations but I was severely let down. The story moves at a snail’s pace and I had to trudge through it because it felt wasteful not to finish it. My biggest gripe with this book is the relationship between Chilton and Agatha. I just don’t get how they fall in love with each all of a sudden when they were complete and total strangers. Like literally, she just kissed him out of nowhere and they banged the next day? Overall this book has got to be one of the slowest reads.
