    1. I would personally say Mistborn. Only because Stormlight has a release coming out soon (at least the Audiobook is in December, unsure if book release is earlier, I assume so). that way by the time you’re finished with Mistborn you can read all of Stormlight.

I enjoyed both pretty equally, so not sure which to suggest based on preference.

Mistborn, but Stormlight is better, though that may be even more reason to leave it till last. If you like Mistborn I’d also suggest Warbreaker before Stormlight.

    3. *Elantris* is the ideal starting point for Brandon Sanderson’s epic fantasy. Once a city of divine magic and godlike beings, Elantris was struck by a mysterious blight, leaving its radiant citizens decayed and forgotten. When Prince Raoden is afflicted by this blight, he’s cast into the ruined city, where he uncovers secrets that could restore its former glory or doom the world. Meanwhile, Princess Sarene arrives in Arelon, determined to uncover the dark plots threatening the kingdom.

*Elantris* offers a complete, gripping story with Sanderson’s trademark world-building and complex characters. It’s a perfect introduction before diving into the expansive worlds of *Mistborn* or *The Stormlight Archive*. Start here to experience a tale where fallen gods, lost magic, and human resilience collide in an epic struggle for hope and redemption.

If you’re more into YA and coming-of-age series then Mistborn is the perfect pick for you. I personally hate this genre so couldn’t get myself past the 2nd book (although I will return some day to read the 3rd book). The magic system in the book was quite unique though.

Stormlight is much grander in scale spanning multiple civilisations, countries, continents and worlds. Needless to say, I personally found it to be much better than Mistborn and it remains as one of the best fantasy works I have read so far.
