I’m high school language arts teacher and I’m currently teaching a Unit about post high school options to 12th graders. Part of the unit includes an independent reading element, and I’ve been given the following list of English language books. I have about seven Spanish-speaking students that I need to find books for.
- Educated by Tara Westover (I have several copies of this book in Spanish, but I am listing it here so commenters understand what all my options are)
- Eat the apple: a memoir by Matt Young
- Bring out the dogs: stories by Will Mackin
- The fighters: Americans in combat by CJ Chivers
- Fight like a girl: the truth behind a female Marines are trained by Kate Germano and Kelly Kennedy
- Undecided: navigating life and learning after high school by Genevieve Morgan
- The naked roommate and 107 other issues you might run into in college by Harlan Cohen
- The freshman, survival guide: soul for device for studying, socializing, and everything in between by Nora, Bradberry, and Bill McGarvey
- first year student the first year success: 21 things you need to know when starting college by Krieglstein et Al.
I’m having trouble finding Spanish versions of the aforementioned titles, so Im open to those or any books that may be similar! Thanks so much for your suggestions!
