I'm only a chapter or two into it, but I'm a white man from a majority white country, and I'm finding myself constantly having to "correct" myself by automatically picturing all the characters as white, when they very explicitly aren't.
It made me realise that I've spent my whole life reading books almost universally full of white people, or at least with the main characters all being white, to the point that in my imagination it has become the default.
I'm not trying to be like, controversial or start any big arguments, it's just an observation I had about my own mind and reading history.
