    1. I am not familiar with that comic but when started to get big into reading, these were the books I read when I was seeking comedic books.

      “Lamb the gospel according to Biff”, is a delightful religious satire if you like that.

      “The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy” is a comedic and sci fi classic with absurd British humor.

      Most of the books by Terry Pratchett are similar but for fantasy “Guards! Guards! “And “Going Postal” are two books I can recommend starting with.

      I really liked “John dies at the end “when I was a teen. It has a lot of edgy 2000s humor if you can find any relatability in that.

    2. Mike Nelson (former host of mst3k) has a book of short essays he wrote for his local newspaper that are all really funny. It’s called Mind over Matters. They sort of read like comedy bits (though not as snarky and “dark” as Jeselnik’s stuff).

      David Sedaris writes comedic autobiographical essays. Many of them are laugh out loud funny – Me Talk Pretty One Day is a fave of mine.
