I just finished reading Our Wives Under the Sea and I loved it! I’m looking to read books that are similar. I’ve also read This is How You Lose the Time War, Lathe of Heaven, and The Dream Police. I really like books that are lyrical and poetic and usually have darker themes. I’m not a very big romance person so if the book has romance it usually has to be doomed in some way or in the background. Could I get any suggestions for books that have a similar vibe?

This is out of my wheelhouse, considering I’ve read 3/4 of the books you’ve mentioned and they didn’t work for me personally, but some that might give similar vibes are:
*The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender* by Leslye Walton
*The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue* by V. E. Schwab
*The Wall* by Marlen Haushofer
*Station Eleven* by Emily St. John Mandel
*A Memory Called Empire* by Arkady Martine
*I Who Have Never Known Men* by Jacqueline Harpman
*Mexican Gothic* by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
[The Gracekeepers](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23012481-the-gracekeepers) by Kirsty Logan. Lovely prose, very melancholy vibes, light fantasy elements based in Scottish mythology, some romance but it’s not the main plot driver.
